AirHeadz Obtains T11 Exemption For The Repair and Re-use of Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

Updated: Jan 3

In 2024, the UN Global E-Waste Monitor report revealed that e-waste is growing five times faster than documented e-waste recycling.[1]

The Global e-Waste Monitor indicates that e-Waste is on track to be 82 million tonnes globally by 2030.[2]

With our T11 exemption we are able to remove waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) from commercial sites, to be repaired, refurbished or dismantled for reuse. This could include:

  • Old IT equipment no longer needed due to upgrades or reduction of staff

  • Product recalls, where items require repairs

  • Salvaging serviceable parts from faulty equipment to then be reused

What is a T11 exemption? As defined on the gov.uk website: ‘The T11 exemption allows you to repair, refurbish or dismantle various types of WEEE so that the whole WEEE item or any parts can be reused for their original purpose or recovered.’[3]

By offering waste collection of WEEE to businesses and facilities in Coventry and Warwickshire, AirHeadz can help businesses free up valuable floor space from out of service equipment and in turn, help them operate in a more environmentally conscious way.

If you are aware of anyone that requires electric or electronic equipment to be removed from a facility, or you require so yourself, please reach out to us via our contact form or speak to us directly on 07999433710 or info@trustpro.co.uk
